Conversation with Supervisor
I went to speak to my supervisor regarding my last day and the annual leave matter. She told me that HRM claimed my last day to be on the 07th Aug which supposed to be the 04th(friday). She suggested to send an email to clarify with the HRD about it & to refrain from remaining job in mandarin(shou wei). I was infuriated by this word and said something nasty. My supervisor then voiced up a little and explained to me that it's better to find out then to put on assumption. She then sent an email to confirm and finally we both agreed to it.I told my supervisor that in private sector must know how to play politics then she immediately spoke up, "don't play politics, don't involve in it, it's no good." Out of curosity I asked, "how come last time you told me it's better to stay ?" She then replied, "It's because you can knock off on the dot and just like last time taking courses after work, more time." However, in private sector, there are more challenging and suitable for those youngsters who are still single.
It took me quite long to speak up and finally telling her, I'm feeling bad to hear that she has lost her 3G mobile and wondering if it was because of my resignation? She replied that it's due to the projects that required her moving around the compound and lost it. I said, hope she won't feel bad due to my leaving and I asked, "Are you all right?" She said, "feeling better."
I said she had nv voice up or scolding me and she said will learn it. I then added, there are no nice people in this world and she said, "have, Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa." I shared to her that Pope John Paul II said, be 'humble' and be 'patience'.
At last, I requested to keep in contact with her and she told me that the mobile number has been used for 10 years and won't be changing, I can actually call on her mobile.
I have no regrets to leave however, sooner or later my supervisor will be transferring soon and it's the matter of time. It's better to be friends than colleagues and I believe nice people shouldn't be working colleagues.
Jasmine is my example and role model in working life. A nice and wonderful supervisor I ever had.
